FISHING AT THE LAKE
For many, a day at the water's edge is a real therapy.
Personally, whether it is the sea, the river or a lake, I feel in communion with nature.
Fishing has always been a real discovery and a way to meditate.
I am for simple fishing, holding the rod and feeling the bite of the fish, being patient and not considering only the technique to fish.
This simple pleasure was instilled in me by my father with whom we used to go fishing in the lake or in the sea.
I can still see him patiently preparing all his gear, which at that time was simple compared to what fishermen have now, with meticulousness and order.
At sea, we had reels, and at the edge of the ponds, a simple bamboo rod did the trick.
Where I live now, I am fascinated by the lake fishermen. They set up for at least 3 days with a phenomenal deployment of gear.
You have tents, rails, rods, fish food, lures, etc.
It's a whole selection of fishing accessories that each have a well defined time of use.
You won't believe your ears but it's like a ritual and you see the same thing around the lakes.
I had the opportunity to see during a four days course, how quickly this passion can become an obsession on the part of these men or women who spend their life at the water's edge thinking about competition.
